This young steer is showing some real promise! At 5 months old he weighed 349 pounds. He has a great stride and very wide stable stance for no older than he is! He is registered as a Yellow! His sire is currently hovering around the 2000# mark. Picture of his sire can be seen under Sale Barn on this website. Declan took 3rd place at the Husker Highland Classic in October of 2022 in prospect bull division. Since we only want the absolute best bulls breeding we decided to steer him. We took him out to the National Western Stock Show in January and he again won 3rd place out of 7 of the top highlands in the nation for prospect steer and this is on hay and grass alone. On April 1st, 2023 he won Reserve Grand Champion prospect steer at the SCHCA show in Oklahoma only to be beaten by his Uncle that was a few months older. Most recently this young man was named Grand Champion Purebred Market Steer at the National Western Stock show in Denver, CO 1/19/2024! These are the genetics everyone wants!!!!
